FRAME
Recording runs in real time, so a four minute song takes four minutes.
Keep this tab in front while it records. Switching tabs or minimising the window
starves the animation and drops frames.
CONVERT TO MP4
Runs ffmpeg inside this page. Nothing leaves your machine. It needs an internet
connection the first time so it can fetch the ffmpeg build, then it is cached.
Record something first, or pick a file from disk.
Converting in the browser is slow. Expect several minutes per minute of video at 1080p.
If you have ffmpeg installed locally it will be far quicker from a terminal:
ffmpeg -i in.webm -c:v libx264 -crf 18 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a aac -b:a 192k -movflags +faststart out.mp4
IF IT COMES OUT EMPTY
Watch the byte counter above. It should climb every second.
If it stays at zero, switch the container to WebM and try again.
MP4 recording is reported as available by some browsers that cannot actually do it.
BEFORE YOU RECORD
Audio loaded and playing through.
Every line you want to land has a time on it.
Play the last thirty seconds and check the scroll.
Save the project so the timings survive a reload.
